In response to the media report of “Reasons Identified for Loud Explosion Sound in Hualien”, the Air Force Command Headquarters expressed today (18th) that, the Hualien Air Force Base had conducted a routine inspection on a F-16 fighter on October 17th and implemented a full performance test flight. The test flight region was conducted above relative safe altitudes, so there is no need for any ground safety concerns, and the public may rest assured.

The Air Force Command Headquarters expressed that, they are grateful for the support and guidance offered to their combat training efforts by all walks of society and they will continue to strive in their flight mission to ensure the aerial safety of Taiwan.
